Time passes by very fast and suddenly you see that many years are now behind you. Ask yourself the question, did I make the best of every moment? or is there something in my life I want to change? If the answer is, yes I want to make changes in my life, you should start implementing those changes immediately and not postpone it until later. Life is not lived in the past, or in the future, but right now.
Don’t take it seriously, but at the moment, I want to grab your shoulders and shake the hell out of you…Because I suspect you are still pulling your blankets over you to sleep a little bit longer through life.
Well, I don’t know if I should call it news or a report, because I'm sure you've heard it before, but maybe, and I'm saying maybe, this is the time it is dawning on you and you are starting to make real changes in your life… because…
Life is very short.
I will tell you about an epilogue that will open your eyes to the fact that life is short.
I was reminded, in a very personal way, of the fact that life is way too short. And frankly, I’m still struggling to come to terms with it; maybe I never will. But I will keep on trying.
Remember when you were a kid and you believed life is a cycle that keeps going on and on.
And now it has hit you that many years of your life are now behind you and you are wondering, what the heck happened to it. What was I doing the whole time? Did you make the best of every moment, or did you blow it like someone blowing bubbles from a bubble wand? I bet I already know your answers to these questions.
There are millions of people who just live just spend their days doing things they don’t like. They are in jobs they hate and are doing things that they are not interested in. And yet, they spend most of their time stuck in those jobs while another rare person is completely content and happy doing what they love.
In a post by Doberman Dan, there were fascinating numbers, which I don’t know where he got them from, that are enough to intrigue anyone sleepwalking through life.
Statistically speaking, you have 78 years to live on earth
You spend a third of that time sleeping, and thus, this leaves you with 49 years and 11 months of “active” years
Subtract the hours you spend in school, and that leaves you with 46 years and four months of your independent life
Subtract another 91,000 hours on a job, and you will find out you have 35 years and 11 months remaining
Take off the time you spend driving, brushing your teeth, running errands, etc. and you now have 32 years and two months
Subtract the time you spend drinking, shopping, and eating, etc… you have 25 years and 10 months left
Subtract the time you spend doing chores, and you are now down to 20 years and 1 month
Subtract taking care of family and kids, along with video games, watching TV, and wasting time on the internet, and you now have 9 years and 6 months of your life remaining
You have 78 years on this planet (if you are lucky), and only 9 years are what you have for yourself.
Now you get me? Life is way too short.
Life is too short to allow fear to rule you. Open your arms, mind, and heart to new people and things, especially if you want to make your 78 years on this planet enjoyable and worthwhile.
Life is too short to be unfit and unhealthy. Get moving, get active, stop eating crappy food – if you want to make it to 78 years, enjoying every moment of it.
Life is too short to live with regrets, just as it is too short to imagine and dream about your “glory days.” You can’t open the next chapter of your life if you are stuck replaying the last one.
Life is too short to be a lazy-bone. Be organized and stop wasting time. Why waste time imagining things instead of taking action?
Life is too short to hold on to negative thoughts but it is true that negative thoughts creep into our mind. If negativity tore through your door and forced itself into your head, beat its ugly head with all you've got and never, under any circumstances, invite it in or welcome it in your mind.
Life is short to think or deal with rotten people. Are you worried about something nasty a person said about you? Why bother? You know yourself.
Life is too short to stress over people who don’t matter in your life. Cut yourself off from such people.
Life is too short to compete with your neighbors. Do you care about your neighbor's new car or the number of TVs they have? Come on… you have more important things to care about. Don't be that petty thinking person worrying about irrelevant things that your neighbor blew money on today.
Life is too short to be poor. Yeah, you might have been born in a low-income family, and that is not your fault. But you need to organize your life and get started somewhere. There comes a time when your finances are what you make of them.
Poverty is not noble. Poverty is like a chain tied around your throat and every time you want to live the life you want it wraps itself tighter around you in layers of anxiety and stress. If you don't have the finances that you need, then get busy and look for ways to earn that money.
And yes, I do believe that there is a space for anyone in Internet Marketing and that you can go from rags to riches in a short amount of time. In less than 10 years, you can be a millionaire with IM. You just need to identify a niche and get started.
I’ll end this with this quote from Mark Twain
Life is short, Break the rules.
Forgive quickly, Kiss SLOWLY.
Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably.
And never regret ANYTHING That makes you smile.
